Despite ticking the box to save the credentials, it would always prompt me to enter the password.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to fix the issue with RDP not saving the login information, which should work not just on Windows 10, but also other versions of Windows if you have the same problem<span id=\"more-2745\"><\/span>:<\/p>\n<p>Click Start and type \u201cGPEDIT.MSC\u201d to search for the shortcut to the Windows Group Policy Editor.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2750\" src=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit-msc.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 331px) 100vw, 331px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit-msc.jpg 689w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit-msc-191x300.jpg 191w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit-msc-653x1024.jpg 653w\" alt=\"\" width=\"331\" height=\"519\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right-click the gpedit.msc shortcut and click run as Administrator.<br \/>\n(Ignore any popups about errors if you get any when the Group Policy Editor console opens up).<\/p>\n<p>Browse to Local Computer Policy &gt; Computer Configuration &gt; Administrative Temples &gt; System &gt; Credentials Delegation<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2749\" src=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 793px) 100vw, 793px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials.jpg 1569w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials-768x500.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials-1024x666.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/gpedit.msc-credentials-460x300.jpg 460w\" alt=\"\" width=\"793\" height=\"516\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Double click the setting called \u201cAllow delegating default credentials with NTLM-only server authentication\u201d to edit it.<\/p>\n<p>Change the setting to \u201cEnabled\u201d and then click the \u201cShow\u2026\u201d button in the \u201cOptions:\u201d window where it says \u201cAdd servers to the list:\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2748\" src=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/credentials-enabled-show.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 631px) 100vw, 631px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/credentials-enabled-show.jpg 1196w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/credentials-enabled-show-300x279.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/credentials-enabled-show-768x715.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/credentials-enabled-show-1024x953.jpg 1024w\" alt=\"\" width=\"631\" height=\"587\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Double click the field below \u201cValue\u201d (with the black arrow to the left) and type in \u201cTERMSRV\/*\u201d (without the double quotes).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2747\" src=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/termsrv.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/termsrv.jpg 910w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/termsrv-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tommynation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/termsrv-768x544.jpg 768w\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Ok and then Ok again to close both popups, so that you only see the list of settings again.<\/p>\n<p>Now just repeat the exact same for these three policies as well:<br \/>\n<em>Allow delegating default credentials<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Allow delegating saved credentials<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Allow delegating saved credentials with NTLM-only server authentication<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Close the Local Group Policy Editor and RDP should now work as expected again!<\/p>\n<p>hummm,.. reboot needed on some system!&gt;&gt;? wtf!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Enjoy!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After upgrading to Windows 10, I have had some issues with a couple of RDP connections that wouldn\u2019t store the username and password (credentials).
